Continuing with the Study Version of The Bible that I wished existed, this excerpt includes words spoken by God in Red, positive prophecies in Bold Green, and negative prophecies in Bold Purple.







The two relevant settings mentioned in this chapter are the same as Chapter 1. The location of the main one, Shiloh, is well known and a web page with photos from that area can be found at BibleWalks’ Shiloh page below the history section. (Shiloh is famous for having been the place where the Tabernacle of God stood for 369 years.)
The location of the other place, Ramah (short for ‘Ramathaimzophim’), is uncertain but some scholars think it may be Khirbet Esh-Shuna (link also goes to the BibleWalks’ page for that place.)
